About this scholarship

The Gates Scholarship is a highly selective, last-dollar scholarship for outstanding, minority, high school seniors from low-income households. About 300 scholars are selected each year. The award covers the full cost of attendance not already covered by other financial aid and the SAI — including tuition, fees, room and board, books, and transportation — for the duration of an undergraduate degree.

Renewal terms: Renewable for the duration of an undergraduate degree provided the scholar maintains satisfactory academic progress.
