The Regeneron Science Talent Search (STS) invites high school seniors to submit original STEM research. About 2,600 students enter each year; 300 scholars are named (each receiving $2,000, with $2,000 also going to their school), and 40 finalists travel to Washington, D.C. for final judging. Finalists receive a minimum of $25,000; the top award is $250,000. Total awards exceed $3.1 million annually.
