The PA State Grant is a need-based grant for Pennsylvania residents enrolled at least half-time in an approved program of study at least two academic years in length. The PHEAA Board increased the 2026-27 maximum award to $6,000 (up from $5,750). Eligibility is determined by FAFSA; awards do not have to be repaid.
Renewal terms: Renewable annually via FAFSA up to the program maximum number of grants.
