About this scholarship

The Arizona Promise Program guarantees that eligible low-income Arizona residents pay no tuition or mandatory fees at Arizona's three public universities. There is no separate application: students who submit a university admission application and the FAFSA are automatically identified. The award is a gap-filler, paying whatever remains of tuition and mandatory fees after Pell, merit scholarships, and other gift aid are applied - so the dollar amount varies widely by student and can be $0 if other aid already covers tuition. It renews automatically for up to four academic years (eight semesters) as long as the student files the FAFSA by the priority date, remains Pell-eligible and an Arizona resident, enrolls full-time, and maintains satisfactory academic progress. Students must first qualify as an incoming first-year student; eligibility cannot be gained in a later year.

Renewal terms: Renews for up to 4 academic years / 8 consecutive fall+spring semesters, contingent on annual FAFSA filing by the priority date, continued Pell eligibility, Arizona residency, full-time enrollment, and satisfactory academic progress.
