PDK International Scholarship Program

Current members of Educators Rising, Educators Rising Collegiate, Pi Lambda Theta, or PDK Association who are enrolled full- or part-time in higher education in the fall and pursuing a career in public education. No U.S. citizenship requirement. One application is screened against all ~100 named awards.

PDK International runs a single annual application that matches applicants against a pool of roughly 100 donor-named scholarships for students pursuing careers in public education. Applicants must be members of one of PDK's four affiliated organizations - Educators Rising, Educators Rising Collegiate, Pi Lambda Theta, or PDK Association - and must be enrolled full- or part-time in higher education for the fall semester of the application year. Awards range from $500 to $4,000, are paid directly to the recipient's school for tuition, fees, room, and board, and a small number are designated by donors as renewable for up to four years. The application requires a 250-word statement on teaching and public education, two shorter statements on PDK involvement and other activities, one recommendation letter from a non-relative, and transcripts. There is no U.S. citizenship requirement.

Renewal terms: A small number of donor-designated awards are renewable for up to four years, contingent on annual eligibility confirmation by PDK staff. Most awards are one-time.
