About this scholarship

The Breakthrough Junior Challenge is a global science-communication competition. Students ages 13-18 create an original video (up to 2 minutes) explaining a concept in life sciences, physics, or mathematics. The winner receives a $250,000 post-secondary scholarship, their teacher receives $50,000, and their school receives a $100,000 Breakthrough Science Lab. Entrants must also peer-review at least five other submissions.
