AAUW Selected Professions Fellowship

Women who are U.S. citizens, nationals or permanent residents, pursuing a first full-time master's or professional degree in a STEM field or medicine, enrolled full-time September 2027 through April 30, 2028. Not open to anyone who already holds a master's or professional degree.

The AAUW Selected Professions Fellowship provides a $20,000 stipend to women pursuing their first full-time master's or professional degree in STEM fields only: the life, physical, earth/environmental and health sciences; computing, data and information sciences; engineering; mathematics and statistics; and medicine (including MD, DO, DDS/DMD, OD, DC, DPM, PharmD and DVM). Applicants must identify as women, be U.S. citizens, nationals or permanent residents, hold a degree equivalent to a U.S. bachelor's, and not already hold a master's or professional degree. For the 2027-28 award they must be enrolled full-time from September 2027 through April 30, 2028. The stipend is paid in two installments.
